In my music "career"

Truth be told I'm very jealous of you
You are the most amazing talent
I have ever had the pleasure to work with
You have the most beautiful voice
You have the most beautiful soul
You've performed live on television
You've had the most amazing opportunities
And I'm fucking jealous
Not just at how amazing you are
But at how much you've achieved
But I've gotten to see some of that
I've gotten to be a part of some of that
I've been on stage with you
For god-knows how many years
Thank you for letting me ride shotgun
It's an honour and a privilege
You are beautiful
And I regret to inform you
That by the time you receive this poem
I will be running five minutes late for our braai
