my garden in bloom
the unlikely flowers
the spinach and carrots
small glories hidden behind flowering weeds
a green algaed gnome and his crushed wife
nasturtium flowers copper, gold, and blood
creeping over the old dead ground
giving it life
setting root
churning up the dead clay
discovering new seeds
today for this beauty
at the gateway of winter
when all else is dead
