Another Betrayal

Come then, show your face, stand up
Stop cowering like that
You think a night-time betrayal will save you?
Do you think it wise to hide
Behind half statements
Behind hedged accusations
A forked tongue and a two-face aren't enough
Not nearly enough
To save you tonight
From my sorrow
From my anger
You owe us more than you imagine
And we never took you up on it
And now you turn around and bite us?
Come then
Stand
Be counted

I am

he's an idiot
fearing that imaginary son
a son taking it up the ass
he's a blind idiot
underestimating the unseen
the invisible daughter
that fucks instead of being fucked

pay attention as your city falls
leveled by the roar of Amazons
as you lie resting
thinking that you are safe
there are no men on the horizon
and what threat is there
especially from the trans- hordes

As I do

adults lie
they tell their children not to lie
lying is wrong afterall
but adults lie to children
adults lie to each other
they know when to lie
when it's okay
then pretend it's different somehow
that somehow,
their age grants them that right
"do as I say"
"not as I do"
in this way
daddy teaches son
lying is just fine
it's about how you lie
it's about when you lie
in this way
we've taught our children
to become expert liars
and they in turn
hypocrites
tell their children
that lying is wrong

Old Coffee

Same taste of you
With the old warmth missing
For everything I crave
Down to your kissing
Familiar faded
Love into sorrow
I can't love you now
Well perhaps tomorrow
