You didn’t
listen
I don’t
mean to boast
Really I
don’t
But you
should have listened to me
You know
I’m right
Even when
I’m wrong
Even when I
don’t understand
Even when I
haven’t been listening
Because
you’re always wrong
Even when
you’re right
Even when
you try to explain
Even when I
ignore you
I told you
so
Perhaps, this is an interesting aside, but a friend pointed out to me that I very rarely write poetry from another perspective, other than my own, or perhaps from the perspective of the narrator. Here's an interesting poem I wrote in 2009 that is from the perspective of the abuser.
